Packing up again.

I did hop back into the vintage swing of things. THis was my outfit today. some 40s mens trousers(not the ones I wanted to wear today but these will suffice I guess) and a non-vintage but still old sweater. most likely from the 70s/80s. I just threw on some plimisols for basic footwear. I need to Shave, pretty bad. haha But I figure I would show you guys(via crappy web cam photos since my camera already made the move Im working on) what I looked like while I've been at school. I was really into goth again hahaha. Below is my outfit I wore while I was packing up my stuff and dancing around with my roommate. A pentagram shirt cut into a tank top(gift from the roomie) and my red shorts from H&M that I cuff shorter. oh yeah, and 6 inch black patent leather platform heels. No big deal.

I am in the process of packing up all of my dishes. Again. I hate that part of the move. I have so much stuff. I am exhausted just thinking about packing and unpacking all of this stuff. and then setting up a whole new room. But this one is a bit bigger which is nice. I need to make some drapes for it and I need a new bed spread. I want a chenille one, I just don't know what color. my drapes are going to be made out of that green atomic print fabric I posted about a few months ago.

HEATWAVE and my outfits for coping with it

Massachusetts along with the rest of the East Coast is in the middle of a heatwave. Which got me thinking about how once it get's hot I stop dressing well. Men's vintage and vintage styled clothes are pretty darn warm. Jeans suck to wear, a lot of button downs are kind of thick. SO I decided to come up with an alternative to bad fashion for the heat.

This weekend I was given three pairs of 40s men's trousers. I love them but once pair was big in the waist and the leg length was too short. But it as so hot in suburban wonderland yesterday I threw on a wife beater and The pants that were too big and too short, cuffed them up and belted them. I was pretty sold on the idea after wearing it around and I wasn't sweating from just moving.

I was so sold on the idea that I went to goodwill this afternoon and picked up two new pairs of trousers to do this with. One pair is vintage and the second pair are just modern ones with a high waist(picked below) I can just throw on a cotton loop collar, be a little hussy and not button the first few buttons and be good.

I know I'm not the first person to think of doing this, but I like doing it. It makes me feel like I don't have to dress poorly due to the crappy weather.

Western Wednesday!

Today is Western Wednesday! I hope everyone dressed for the occasion! I donned my 1950s Jim Penny Gabardine western shirt. It's a child's shirt that I can sometime squeeze into! I ironed it and everything then I spent like a few seconds lying in bed and got it all wrinkled oh well.

I decided to wear a neck scarf today. I couldnt find an all black one do folded up inside is a printed set of switchblades haha!

But I just threw on my pair of everyday jeans and converse. I would really like to get some better pants, and I'm workin on it.

Anyone want to buy me a pair of Freddies? PLEASE?

TROPICAL TUESDAY!

Happy Tropical Tuesday everyone! What IS Tropical Tuesday you ask? Well It's a holiday I invented this morning so I could wear my new vintage Hawaiian Shirt! I will get better pictures of it soon!! But For now I have this one!

How does one celebrate Tropical Tuesday you say? Well don your pretties Hawaiian frock and sunglasses put on Annette Funicello's "Hawaiianette" and have a pineapple-y drink in a tiki mug! Break out your parasol and head outside if its warm and sunny!

So I just recieved that shirt from Beck last night! It was in her closet waiting for the right guy(a.k.a me) to get in it and have it fit like a glove. It is great quality. I love the pockets they are all stain lined too!

Then Im just wearing some jeans from work

And some classic chucks.

Oh and my sunglasses are really bad quality rayband knock offs my Mom picked up for $2 for me!

Last night I decided I'M getting a pair of Freddie's. Now I just need to save up for them!
